Peace Way Christian Center

Our Pastors

Pastor David L. Childers

Pastor David L. Childers is a 1985 graduate of Vanguard University in Costa Mesa, California. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion with Pastoral Studies emphasis. He is the founding and Senior Pastor of Peace Way Christian Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

As a pioneer pastor, Pastor David has a heart for missions. Peace Way Christian Center has built over 32 churches in developing countries on five continents.  He understands the extreme value of a church having its own building. Pastor Childers comments that, "Building churches in third world countries is the equivalent of giving a two million dollar head start to a church in an American metropolitan setting. All of us, living in America, know what the impact of receiving that kind of financial support would be. Church buildings become a tool that transforms temporary ministries into permanent ones."

Dr. Rae F. Kelly

Dr. Kelly grew up in Las Vegas, served in the military during Vietnam (during which time he accepted Christ), then graduated with Honors from the University of Nevada Reno with a Bachelor of Science degree in medical science. He attended Naturopathic Medical School, and graduated Cum Laude from Western States Chiropractic College in 1984 with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree.
He received his license to practice as a Chiropractic physician in Nevada in 1984, and has been in continuous practice ever since. He holds several post-graduate specialty certifications. He has held board positions on several churches, para-church and secular institutions, both locally and nationally. He has published articles in several journals, and has lectured throughout the country.
He completed a bachelor's degree from Bethany College in 2002, and is a credentialed minister with the Assembly of God as of 2003. He has completed a Master of Divinity from Liberty Theological Baptist Seminary. He assists the pastoral staff weekly, and preaches periodically throughout the year.

During his theological education, the Lord impressed upon him the fact that God was going to do a new work of the Holy Spirit in this new century. It has become apparent that at this time and place, this mighty missions outreach may indeed be part of that new work that the Holy Spirit will empower in the 21st century. We believe that God is calling ordinary people to do an extraordinary work for the Kingdom of God. We believe that the neighborhood church can do mighty things through the power of a mighty God.

Dr. Kelly and his wife Jane have participated in this phenomenal move of God in the church It has been challenging and at the same time extremely rewarding emotionally and spiritually to know that just one of these churches may reach hundreds and even thousands of people with the good news that Jesus loves them and died, so that they can be free and live eternally with Him in Heaven. Pastor David once said that God gave sacrificially by sending Jesus to us, and we experience and demonstrate His love when we learn to give sacrificially to others.
